Bill the mechanic

This is a new character that I'm working on. He is a mechanic in the 1970s. I'm still deciding on the hairstyle. This is the most time I've ever spent on and the most detail that I've ever put into a head. I all of a sudden have a different perspective. Instead of seeing points that make up a head, I see a head made up of points. Anyways, this is modeled and rendered in Blender, and the textures were painted in Corel Photopaint.

This is one of my better characters. It was the first character where I actually stopped to think about facial structure, and I took more time to texture it. The texture was handpainted in Corel Photopaint. The texture was only about 400 x 400. Now I'm using textures that are 2000 x 2000. The lighting in this image isn't all that great. That is one of my weakpoints. I'm working on it, though. This still is part of an at-home interview animation. I wanted a create a cool(cool as in the temperature) feeling with the light. I also wanted all the light to be coming from outside.

This is my current WIP. It's Tony Montana, as portrayed by Al Pacino. It still is far from perfect. I still need to work on the modeling and texturing...and lighting for that matter. All textures were made in Photopaint. The fine details were drawn by hand onto a bump map.

Cartoony Office Guy

This is a cartoony guy I'm working on to take a break from my Hank/Jimi Hendrix projects. This project is focused on improving my lighting/animation skills. Animating a cartoon gives you more freedom to exaggerate the expressions. If I do go on to make a short animation with this guy, it'll take place in an office. The head still isn't finished yet. It's modeled in Blender. The textures were made in Photopaint.

I am currently making a character resembling Jimi Hendrix and will afterwards make a Mexican for the same project. I will make an animated short featuring the three. This texture is 2000 x 2000. This is basically the finished character.
